Twin-cane chillum
Double Twist
A black cylinder with a full spectrum wound through it, tight as rope.
The colour is not painted on. Two lengths of cane are laid into the body while everything is soft, then the whole tube is twisted — slowly, because rushing it shears the pattern into mud.
Against the black the spiral reads almost like a filament. In daylight it turns; under a lamp it stops and holds still.
